STORY OF WOMAN
“Feminine woman, child-woman, sensual woman, androgynous woman, strong woman, Free woman”

ABOVE ALL, THIS FILM IS THE STORY OF A MEETING OF MINDS: THAT OF FOUR FEMALE ARTISTS JOINING FORCES TO CREATE A TIMELESS OBJECT UNHINDERED BY CONVENTION. THE DESIGNER BARBARA BUI, THE DIRECTOR ROSALIE CHARRIER, THE WRITER LINE PAPIN AND THE ACTRESS LOMANE DE DIETRICH WORKED HAND IN HAND TO CREATE THIS INVENTIVE PROJECT, EACH CONTRIBUTING HER UNIQUE VISION. A HISTORY OF FASHION TINGED WITH EMOTIONS THAT RESTORES THE EVOCATIVE POWER OF WORDS.

TELL US ABOUT HOW YOUR COLLABORATION TOOK SHAPE.

BARBARA BUI: “WE WANTED TO EXPLORE THE IDEA OF MULTIPLE PERSONALITIES. TO DO SO, WE SELECTED EXCERPTS FROM TWO BOOKS BY THE WRITER LINE PAPIN (L’ÉVEIL AND TONI), WHO, BY THE WAY, IS OF VIETNAMESE ORIGIN LIKE ME.”

ROSALIE CHARRIER:WE SELECTED THE ACTRESS LOMANE DE DIETRICH TO READ LINE’S TEXTS. SHE PUTS HERSELF IN THE SKIN OF THE DIFFERENT CHARACTERS WITH OFF-BEAT HUMOUR, HAVING FUN WITH HERSELF AND WITH HER ALTER EGO.”
